We spotted this trend last night & we liked it!

Is the evil eye making a comeback? The evil eye is supposed to protect those wearing it against ill-wishing, looks of jealously, and bad luck...yikes! Perhaps we should pick up one or two!

Many religions or countries have different means for the evil eye. In Judaism a "good eye" designates an attitude of good will & kindness towards others, someone who has this attitude wishes everyone well. An "evil eye" is someone who feels no joy and experiences distress when others prosper. In India a ritual called Aarti is performed to remove the evil eye spirit. In Islam to ward off the evil eye when a complement is given you say "Masha'Allah" which means "it is as God has willed."

Watch out for this trend. 

Barneys New York will be carrying this amazing bowls, vases, & candlesticks come the fall. Be sure to buy one or two.

We spotted this trend last night & we liked it!

This has to be the latest trend right now, Silly Bandz bracelets. These rubber bracelets come in different shapes and colors. Once you put them on & take them off they turn back into their original shape...too cool. The whole idea behind these bracelets is to collect them, wear them and trade them. Kids are rockin' them so much that they have been blacklisted at some schools. They're just bracelets...come on!!!

Personally we are rocking the princess set as seen above. They can be found anywhere, RiteAid, Duane Reade, Amazon.com, & ebay.com.

We spotted this hot trend last night & we liked it!

We are all starting to look like clones once again. Designer T shirts in every color, shape and size paired with something ridiculously tight, dark, and sometimes flat out ugly! It seems, at times, ugly is in.. much to our hearts disdain.

Enough of the hard edge, dirty, bad girl look. The individual sporting this look last night just looks contrived and the masses cloned. It has lost the intrigue of its origin.

Time to freshen up your look and let it evolve!!!!

For us it is now all about soft, femme, a touch of old Hollywood, a twist on classic, and a dash of edge. It is all in the subtle details.

Hello followers, this is S&B!

This idea came to us a few months ago but we finally decide to put a blog together to document all of our adventures in & out of the city. We both love meeting new people and going to new places. We hope you enjoy!

Works in the fashion industry as a buyer for home goods. Her style is amazing and classic. She is also musically connected and can be found rocking out at any of her friend's concerts in downtown Manhattan or Brooklyn.

Born in Texas and currently resides in Midtown. A social networking maven and can be found bopping around at the hottest and hippest parties in NYC. You're at a hot club in the city? She probably knows the owner. Her roots are found in the Financial District researching for a Hedge Fund, but moved uptown to focus her Finance career within the Fashion Industry.
